Thinking about getting the HDR-SR11

got an offer to get this for $720 including tax, shipping.

seems reasonable, although some of these online places seem to have em cheaper, i just dont trust them.

anyone have this model? any pros/cons to share?

What do you want to use it for? Sonys are pretty good, but I like Canons a lot better - you can get a nice one in that price range.

actually i just found it for 679 from a seller on buy.com. not sure how trustworthy they are.

i plan to use it basically for family events, traveling, an all around camcorder...general purpose. nothing too fancy.

I can't give you any specific insight on the camera itself, but I thought I'd let you know that there's a reliable place to purchase it if you decide to do so. 🙂


edit: I just checked your link and the source on Buy.com is J&R Music, which is also a very good dealer, so you shouldn't have any problems purchasing it from them or from B&H.
