thinking about getting an electric scooter

i can't take a gas powered moped on the metro link, but you can take bicycles.. i have about a 40 mile commute to work. metro link (lightrail train) is about 2 miles from my house, and my work is about 1 mile from the metro link stop in the city. I want something I can drive on sidewalks (i refuse to ride a bike on public streets..)

do it, but make sure it's allowed to be driven on the sidewalk first. there is nothing wrong with those kinda vehicles on the street as long as the driver knows how to drive it.
