thinking about getting an Apple Mini for my grandparents

i have a Win XP system I can give them but dont want the headaches of having to fix this and that.

give them XP SP2 with updates, turn on automatic updates, take away administrator rights, install antivirus (auto update definitions), install firewall....should be fine, imo.

Soon. Serving ads and creating zombie spam mailers is a business now, not just the province of punk kid vandals. There's money to be made infecting macs, even if it's a tiny population compared to Windows PCs.

Still, even as mac exploits appear there will be 100 Windows threats for every mac one.
