thinking about getting a truepower 550w

ok, so i got a good offer ($40) for a new antec truepower 550w but what is the difference between the truepower and the TPII? is the original TP worth it?

Holy sh1t...$40? I got mine for $80 and I thought THAT was a crazy value!

Anyway, the PSU is AWESOME. I would've easily paid $120 for it and not felt ripped off. Great voltage regulation and nice solid amperages on the rails.

I have that PSU and it has run solid for me for a couple of years now.

The TP1 is a 20 pin ATX PSU whereas the TP2 is 24 pin.
The TP1 is a dual fan the TP2 is a single 120mm fan.
The TP1 is SATA (2 headers on mine) and the TP2 is SATA.

If you have a new mobo that needs 24 pin power, I'd get a TP2 instead.

i have a DFI and i'm running a 20 pin so i think i'll be ok

thanx for the info, i thin i will get this

btw, its thru a local aquantance so i cant post a deal
