Thinking about getting 20" rims for my car

envy me

Golden Member
I've got an '02 Maxima and was thinking about getting these, or something similar.

I am not too familiar about the size/offset requirements for tires.

Do you guys think that that is a decent 20" rim for the price?

sorry but off yourself. those are the ugliest rims i've ever seen. fuiurthermore, 20" tires will rape you and they will probably rub without a fender roll. Add to the fact accleeration for the maxima wil lbe much slower and your car will look like crap...

dude...

NO.

-edit-
That doesn't scream "envy me", it screams "i'm retarded for putting 20s on my car and screwing up hadling/acceleration royally. bling yo."

That will look incredibly stupid on a Maxima......but go ahead because I like comic relief as I drive. Most people simply have no taste these days, especially when it comes to car mods.

I want to stay away from the standard 5 star rims that are around and am looking for something different. Can anyone recommend some 20's and where to get them??

I want to get some classy looking rims. I don't have my ride riced up. I just want a nice pair of 20's. No Tints, No ground effects, just some nice rims.

why 20s? 18s on a maxima is fine unless you roll in atlanta all day and you've obut into the retard culture of "dubs" and bigger. Big rims amke your car look like its on a lift. also the tires wil lcost you so much every time you need a new set.

The factory ones I have now are 17 or 18. (17 I think) and I figure, if im gonna spend a few hundred on rims, why not spend a few more and get bigger ones.

besides the fact you'll be slowed down? You'd probably lose .5 sec off you 0-60. The cost of tires for 20s is easily $1000 for good tires. Furthermore good quality 20"s are expensive and the ebay cheapos are not good quality. Also with 30 series tires your ride wil lfeel like crap, bumps everywhere. Furthermore your alignemnt will be off and your speedometer might be off too.

...Because you will be eating away at the performance of your car

Just stick with factory sized rims.

Twenty inch rims will look stupid on a Maxima. You cannot achieve a classy look with a ridiculously large diameter rim. It has become passe. It looks stupid. The ride is terrible. I could go on but there is no way to achieve a "classy" look on a car with 20" rims. It simply looks like a thug's ride.

Im gonna have to agree with M4H. If you are gonna get rims you might as well get spinners. Otherwise you will look like a douchebag.

So tell me friend. What type of rims (aside from factory of course) would make my ride look classy in your eyes.

I saw a guy with that generation Maxima (my favorite generation btw), and he must have worked in a metal shop or something because he had chrome stuck EVERYWHERE. Over all of the windows, all over the hood and trunk in funky shapes, he had a chrome spoiler and wheel wells. Most of it looked like it was just held on with hot glue or something.

My answer would be 17" alloy wheels, no chrome. No split spokes. I think anything over 18" would look too big.

weak... I have 17" alloys.. I want Bling. I want to drive down the street and people to recognize the realness.

19" max on a Maxima. And get some springs to drop it a little so it doesn't look retarded.
