AMD ATHLON XP 2500+ "Barton" 333 FSB PROCESSOR CPU

Asus Motherboard for AMD Athlon/XP/Duron Processors, Model# A7N8X Deluxe

GEIL DDR RAM 512MB PC-3200 Value 400MHz Ultra- CAS 2.5, 2T Command With Extreme Performance Heat Spreader

Video card is next but that can wait. Is this a good combo? Forsee any problems with this? I am not an overclocker by trait but I have dabbled.

Kingston HyperX would do fine, it is as good as Corsair, cheaper, and Kingston are no hassle for returns and warranties. Not fast but without hassle. Corsair you need to go through some Ram Guy then through submission and all sorts of nonsense. If you have that much money to waste better use Mushkin, their customer service is bar none.

Hyperx Kingston pc3200 looks good to me. I am thinking about getting a 256 stick first then adding a 2nd stick at a later date. Would that be wise or go with a 512 stick now?

At the moment the performance memory (as a matter of fact all memory) is expensive. I think that is pretty good idea, to get one 512 stick and then later add another. Kingston is pretty consistent and they models last a bit longer than say Corsair and OCZ. Meaning if you buy one HyperX now it is likely that they will have another of the same 6 months from now. Unlike OCZ that I cannot find any PC 3000 they used to sell just a half a year ago.
256 will be too little very soon.

some say the 1006 and 1004 bios dont seem to have this problem but i am not sure.
