A few questions. Are the ones on ebay the same as the ones that will be shipped out to the US except for the fact that the instructions are in japanese? Is there any downside to getting one off of there? Anyone else going to be buying one when they come out?

Wait 6 months or so, it'll drop by at least $50.00 I really can't see paying $250 fr a device that has only a handful of games

i dont know sony's already loosing over $100 per psp sold. And there are 24 games coming out at launch. Seems pretty cool to me.
ALL console makers (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) always lose money on a console launch, and typically do on the entire life cycle of said console. BUT, the plan is to make back the money lost plus some on games and accessories. From what I've read in my gaming years, a console can typically remain unprofitable for up to 3 years after it's introduction.Originally posted by: rpbri2886

Microsoft lost money on the xbox at launch, they lose a ton of money now.
