I havent had a chance to fire either the p226 or the p220

im going to see if i can find a range that rents pistols that way i can try both out
and maybe a few others
anyone know of one in the Phoenix area?

did that in the early 90's for awile till i found i liked the ruger 9mm's
for some strange reason i couldnt get good groupings with any of the glocks
so there out of the picture but did decent with the brownings and s&w's and a few others

i do want to stick with either the 9mm or the .45 so the .40's are out
also i will be getting a concealed carry permit so the carry versions are mostly what im looking at

the cheaper ammo may definatly be a plus since i do plan on puttin in range time again

Doesn't Phoenix have that huge gun range??? The one with a wide selection of guns you can rent and shoot like full-autos???

Thats almost considered "child abuse"! You should send all your "children" to me, I'll pamper them and feed them every Saturday, at least 100 rounds for each "kid". 😉 😀

Same here. I'm going up to the in-laws place for the holiday. I have 500 rounds of Lancer 230 grain FMJs for my 1911. Fortunately they have a decent amount of land that makes a sweet outdoor range. I just hope the weather behaves.

Whats a ballpark price of a used SIG 9mm????

gunbroker.com (I think .com) is a good place to check used values. Granted, some of the stuff there is a fraud, and some sells for way more then it should....Much like Ebay.....but it is a useful research tool none the less.

gunsamerica.com is another one. my uncle uses that one to sell his guns.

I see used Recertified Sig's in the $450 +/- range in my area. You can trust them since they are gone over by Sig.

I am only allowed 9mm for off-duty, but if I had the choice, it would be .40.

My Sig 228 is my favorite gun. Carry something every day and you will realize how heavy and annoying a gun can be. That is why I am switching to carrying my Glock 26. Locally, I just carry my OC.

I can shoot the Glock as well as the Sig; it is just not nearly as comfortable and easy to shoot.

Of course most people like saying they have a 9mm but something like the Walther P22 is very cheap to shoot if you are just using paper targets.

you can only own 9mm when off-duty? how can they tell you what type of gun to own when you're not on the job?

Thanks for the site man, if I end up getting a handgun this will probably be the place I order it from.

Gunsamerica and gunbroker are to guns as Bestbuy and CompUSA are to computers.

The best deals are found locally.
