thinking about buying a new video card

i have a 6600gt and want to upgrade. should i get a 7950gt or the 8800gts? i am not sure if i should get the 7950 for the extra memory it has. do you think that the 8800gts 640mb will be the same price as the 8800gts 320mb once the new ati card comes out

There's probably no point going 7950GT (I think). I think you should hold out *just a little* longer!

Well...it probably won't get anywhere near the $250 zone anytime soon since the 320MB version can take care of that...

I would say...oooh...~$333? That's like a ~$50 price drop from most e-tailers, I guess...

Uneducated guess? I can see the 320s going to 250ish, and the 640s going to 350 MSRP, 300 after rebate.
