Thinking about buying a camcorder...

Looking at this model...

I've searched through previous Off-Topic posts and found www.camcorderinfo.com to be very helpful and believe that I have found what I'm looking for. The above, however, doesn't come with a USB cable, and I'd like to be able to upload the movies to my PC and work with them... I assume I can just buy a cable like this at Best Buy or Circuit City? Is USB what you guys use to upload to computer? I don't have a Firewire card...

Firewire is what need to transfer the video. You can find firewire cards pretty cheap.

Usb is for transfering the still pictures. Some cameras will let you transfer some video, but it's not full sized.

First of all, before you buy anything, you have to ask us what you will be using the camera for.
After you have decided what it's main use will be, visit this website and read up all the reviews you can. Also, visit their forums. You can find a lot of information on finding just the right camera for yourself.
