Thinking about buying a 2005 Honda CR-V EX

I'm selling my 1992 Accord with 216K miles on it. I've been researching small suv's and the CR-V seems to be the one that fits my budget/gas mileage requirements best.
Does anyone here have one? If so please give your opinion on it.

Thanks,
David

my wife has an 03. good little car. We've taken it on a few good roadtrips and have no complaints.

Is that the one with the oil filter that sits over the exhaust manifold? Some people didn't like it when theirs caught fire after an oil change, but if you are a diy person or can double check the shop's work you will probably be ok.

i had an 02 ex 5mt, flogged it for 2 years and never had a problem. the one complaint i had was that highway noise was excessive, but i think that is one of the things they've fixed since then. it had about 40k miles in 2 years with no probs.

mine is a '02 CRV LX, manual AWD.
I took delivery on valentine's day in 2002.
This monday, I will complete 57k miles in it.
I luv the car to death.....
so far, I got the HU changed from stock to an Alpine mp3/wma player.
swapped the front speakers.
got rid of the stock tires asap.
that's it.
the only complaint I have is that in the manual trans, the emergency brake is very uniquely positioned and whenever I take the car for internal cleaning or something, the guys just don't know that the e-brake is on and start to drive the car.
makes me mad......

the hondasuv.com forum is great for more info

They say the highway noise is still a small problem but it has come a long way. From what I've heard most of it comes from the stock tires.

Thanks for the replies

Also consider the Toyota RAV4 and Subarau Forrester.

I've looked at the Rav-4 and I like it, its sportier looking than the crv but its smaller.
I haven't looked at the forrester, I'll give them a look before I buy.

Thanks

As opposed to the other people who saw it as a perfect opportunity for an impromptu barbeque?😕

I think it's funny how SKINNY the real axles are on a CRV, but they seem to be pretty solid vehicles.

we have an 04 ex. pretty nice. comfortable and has ok power for highway passing. Thing I like best is that there's plenty of room inside.

I know a couple that bought an 03 CR-V. I guess they think it's ok but I think it's one of the worst SUVs you could get. Wierd E-brake, seats aren't very comfortable, and I really think I prefered the old Pilot to the CR-V.
