Well I wont be actualy building it myself, but be my own contractor. Hiring and coordinating subs ect.....
Anyone done that before? Any tips?

Been doing allot of reading on the subject but would like to hear some realworld feedback.

Pretty big step to take espeecially if ya don't have any real world exp. Trying to get the everyone done on time and outta there so the next guy can come in..

well, no advice as far as contracting goes, but congrats on being to the point in your life when you can build a house!

There are plenty of good books on this...the thing is you have to known them and not read as you go.

Do some google searches and find the what books are recommended.

Now these will not give you anywhere near all the answers, but will tell you the questions you need to ask and where to start looking.

It's a decent savings and sub-contracting out jobs has made many 'non-experts' very rich.

Good luck pal. Unless you know a lot about construction in general and have a lot of contacts in the industry you could be in for a big surprise. Most, but not all, of the people I know who have done this ended up with a large mess on their hands. Think carefully and do lots of research before you proceed.
