Not sure if people realize that the G2 actually has as good as, or better battery than the Maxx. Faster processor, and immensely better screen.

+1. I'm very surprised it's not taking off more. It actually has me considering dropping my AT&T HTC One for a VZW LG G2.

Ultra is better than the X. It goes Maxx > Ultra > X.
No.

The Droid Ultra has a shitty cheap hard-plastic exterior design with glossy back that serves as a fingerprint magnet that collects grime/grease, more Verizon bloatware(Amazon apps, NFL mobile, etc...), and capacitive hardware buttons.
Maxx >>> Moto X >>>>>>>>>> Ultra.

Not to mention...the Droid Ultra can't be customized with MotoMaker, unlike the Moto X which can and should be available on November 11th.

droid ultras can also be "customized", you just have to buy the paint yourself

I have been using the Ultra as my primary device for a couple weeks now & have to say it is actually a decent experience. Yeah I wipe the back a lot but the red version is colorful and gets a lot of positive comments. The slim form factor makes it easy to handle and the screen is surprisingly crisp and bright.

I didn't get any time to play with the LG G2 to check out the bloatware installed on it. Part of the reason I like the Motorola devices is they at least keep it to a minimum, the Samsung S-4 from what I understand won't allow me to use my current Google email address etc.?

Uhhhhhhhhh... What? Of course you can use your current Google email address with the S4, for email, contacts and calendars just like any Android device. I'm not even sure what you're referring to?

Yes you're right I don't know what I was thinking, getting confused after researching different phones for hours lol.

Probably order 2 LG G2's from Amazon today, they have the best price $99 and I have some credit there.

I appreciate all the replies and info.

I'm sure you'd get a lot more complements using MotoMaker than getting the same "red" color that almost everyone with the Droid Ultra already has on Verizon. ^_^
The Droid X has those same attributes therefore there's zero benefit of picking the Droid Ultra over it.
