Thinking about a canon tx1

So i'm thinking about getting this guy to replace my aging sd400

I would actually be using it more so for video but does anyone know ROUGHLY how much video I can take with say a 8 or 16gb SD card?

Every second of 720p video takes up over 4.4MB on your memory card -- thus, you'd fill up a 1GB card in 3.5 minutes.

thanx fuzzy, seems like recording can be substantially extended w/ LP mode.

I'd take a close look at reviews on DPReview.com and other camera review sites, as well as holding one in a local shop before considering the purchase of this camera. As the review I linked states, it's a neat idea for a gadget but really not a very well designed camera.

it would have been nice if the thing didn't use mjpeg for video. it's also awkward to hold IMO
