Thinkin' about 2GB's of RAM... PC3200 or PC4000?

So, I'm about to put together a new rig. Here's what I've settled on:

Lian-Li PC-60BPlus or PC-6077B - haven't quite made up my mind
PC Power & Cooling 510W
DFI LanParty UT Ultra-D
3200+ Venice
eVGA 7800GT

Those are the important parts.

A gig is standard these days, but I'm thinking of making the jump to 2GB's. OCZ has been really good to me in the past, so I'm planning on sticking with them. However, I'm unclear as to whether or not I'd be better off with the PC4000 Platinum or the PC3200 Platinum. They can both do good timings.

So, does anyone have experience with these memories that can make a recommendation?

Well, my simple opinion would be to go with the PC4000 if you plan on doing OC'n. That is if the price is not much more.

Good stick of PC3200 and PC4000 can run at each others speeds (ie. clock the 3200 up to 4000 speeds or clock the 4000 down to 3200 speeds).

So, go for the PC4000 if you want to crank up your venice 3200+ and want to not be paranoid of your RAM's ability to perform up to par.

Just get some value RAM. It won't make your 3200+ less overclockable, because you can just use a memory divider. The performance difference isn't worth the big price difference.

I'd suggest the 3200 save the bucks and just use a divider it doesn't effect performance enough to be worth the extra bucks for the PC4000

the 3200 is ~$60 cheaper and has a rebate so you'll save around $100 if you choose the 3200. otherwise they're both good choices. if you're going for best performance, the 4000 might be a better choice though

Wow a lot for a case and psu.

Tone it down.

Seasonic S12 500w.
Opteron 144 or 146.
Antec SLK3000b, P180, Coolermaster Centurion 530, unless you really like quality.
