I worked at Comcast as a CSR during college.

I was able to enjoy all of the below:
Free PREMIUM digital cable service: All channels & premium channels (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, etc...)
Free High speed internet
Free Local & Long distance phone service/

Absolutely amazing. That's about $200 a month right there.

[edit]
They also send a mini family outing annually. I was given four six flags ticket for all my family.

I can't wait til I get a real job after college though... I want real perks!

Isnt better to get that 200 USD and buy what you desire?

That's not the point.

When I worked at Pep Boys I got 20% off all the crappy merchandise we carried except oil, tires, antifreeze, food.

I would still eat old school cafeteria food. I miss the rectangle pizzas.

no kidding. 10% off select merchandise! w00t!

My Emp D at Circuit City can be decent. I get merchandise at what they claim is cost. On computers, it is like.. 2%. on big screen TVs, it is around 50%. Accessories are huge, though.. for example, the 6" USB cables we sell for $27.99 (eww) I get on discount for $2.

um...

Of course, what is your point? Perks are what they are- take it or leave it.

I was offered a job with a free laptop, palm pilot, cell phone all paid, and a car allowance of 400 a month. Plus discounts at some of the restaurants they frequently do work for. It was a company that installed and maintained restaurant computer and cashier systems. I took a government contract job instead so I can sit around and surf the net all day.

All pop/soda from vending machines here are $0.25. They take us out to movies a few times a year. I get to go to Vegas for our trade show/focus group testing every year, basically a free vacation.

I'm not getting any money saving discounts or anything, but all in all it makes the work experience pretty good.

Well they did that because if not 90% of the people would of just stolen the boxes and hooked themselves up. This way they can atleast get thier stuff back when you leave :D

when i worked at best buy, it was 5% over cost. right now, my employer doesn't provide any discounts with their services, but i get discounts like 15% off ibm / hp laptops, a certain % off negotiated car prices with gm / ford, 20% off my cellphone service with cingular, get to use the company cost for car rentals / airplane tickets on personal trips, and other such perks with external companies.

i also get my internet connection and home phone paid for, cause i work from home.

edit: we don't get discounts with the company services cause we do tech consulting... an individual doesn't have very much use for the stuff we do.

Umm, 15% discount on stock puchase option? That's about it. And free fountain pop.

*I don't think that Anheuser-Bush thing is nationwide, I have a friend that is 21 that works for Bud and he never gets two free cases of beer a month..
