Looking at this monitor and thinking of buying it if it is -not- a TN panel.

Here is a link to the L246WP-BN model on the LG site, which is not a TN panel:

All the specs are the same, but I know there is a chance this monitor from futureshop could be a TN panel. I am planning to go in tomorrow and look at it. If I am to understand correctly , it should be obvious in person if it is a TN panel. But does anyone out there know if it is or not ?

Why would the L246WP be a TN if it's from FutureShop? I haven't heard of this. Pretty sure it is an 8-bit VA everywhere so you're in luck.

It's a P-MVA 8-bit :D

Absolutely NOT a TN; never has been or will be.

Two of my buddies own this exact display; it's a very nice one.

If you want to compare a TN 24" to a P-MVA 24" while at FutureShop, look at the Samsung 245BW vs. the LG.

That Samsung is a crappy TN. Enjoy the poor viewing angles & oversaturated color on it. Then compare to the LG :)

Thanks a bunch :) I am going to pick this one up then, once I take a look at it in store. Now if the new video cards would just come out, so I will have some hope of playing Crysis with a 1920x1200 res :(
