I've seen so, so many ignorant reactions and illogical comments today.
Always always always stop and think WHY.
Some palastinian group has claimed responsibility (for the moment lets agree)
Why would palastinians attack america?
look at the targets
Capitol
White House
State Department
World trade center
All centers of US and Western power. And specificaly places that control the projection of US power in foriegn countries (please excuse spelling).
So what does palestine have against the West and the US.
I think the key factor is Israel.
It is the US and other western coutries that decided that Isreal should be taken over and given to jewish refugees.
It is the US that continues to aid and fund Israel's military (originaly in defense of other middle eastern countries, but currently being used against palestinians).
Anyway, these are my thoughts and findings so far. Keep in mind it wasnt random, it wasn't senseless. It was cold, and evil, but not without reason.
What do we do now?
Fully support Isreal and take over Palestine? That makes even more angry palestinians, and more angry middle-east countries (they hate us and isreal)
Give up and leave isreal to its own? Couldn't happen, any politician who suggested it woudl never win a vote again. Plus it would be giving terrorists what they want.
Think.
