Think the forest fire risk is going to be high this year

Yes. And I have already bought something like 20 quality N95 particle masks. Fortunately, I do not live where my house will burn down... unless it's real dry and there's a big wind storm. Then, yeah, it's possible. A large portion of Berkeley (flatlands in the north) was burned to the ground back in 1928 or so in those conditions. I saw the Oakland hills fire from my house back in 1992 or so, but it stayed in the hills.

Looks like a nice little woods; No vines! I guess the leaves are birch? Looks like it's mostly conifers there.

We've had exceptional rains this year, and more this week, more than we are used to in May. When it all dries out (and it will) it will be forest fire fodder aplenty. The last few fire seasons have been the worst ever in California and this could be the worst of all, it wouldn't be all that surprising. Maybe Trumpie will send the National Guard with rakes. Well, he doesn't care if California burns to the ground, in fact he'd like that.
