Hi guys i just bought a new system with a msi k8n neo4-f and an amd athlon 64 3200+.When i ran cpu-z it shows i have a 5x multiplier with 200mhz for 1ghz but in my bios it shows 2010 mhz.I dont have cool and quiet enabled and cant really figure why its reading it like that (Iam i noob).what do i need to change?

Thx

Nothing the 2010 mhz is the speed of your 3200+ 2.0ghz. I have the same board with a 3500+. Your 5x mulitplier with 200mhz is your total fsb=1000mhz

Are you sure you dont have CnQ enabled? Have you tried checking your system properties in the control panel? That should give you your clock speed at boot time. Also, try loading the cpu with prime95 and then checking your speed with CPU-z.

Oh, so CPU-z reports the HT speed instead of the cpu clock? weird...

I finally figured it out i just set cpu vid to startup (for some reason default was 1.405 volts??)and bam problem solved.Hey amd crazy if cpu-z is telling you its 1000mhz its right b4 i was getting 25-30 fps on farcry (on high) now i average 70-80 fps thats a pretty big diffrence.

Thx for all the help
