Think my MoBo is dead

Last night, my computer suddenly reverted to a startup screen, including the phoenix Bios information at the top and confirming my Processor type. It is frozen beyond that.

I suspect a motherboard failure.

HW:
MSI K8N NEO4-F 939 ATX board
Athlon 3000+ processor
1 Gig Kensington RAM
Seagate 160 G PATA HD

Questions:

1) Am I correct? Other potential culprits?
2) Warranty on MoBos is 90 days? Just confirming. This unit is 8 mos old
3) Any known issues with MSI MoBos (I'm headed to the MoBo forum after this). What brand replacement should I buy?

Thanks

Kensington makes RAM modules?
Did you mean Kingston?

Did you try clearing the CMOS (bios)?

Yes, Kingston. Sorry

Cleared the CMOS byremoving the battery with no result. I've put in the form to request an RMA and will whip back to MSI. At least I've got a three year warranty to work with.

Thanks for the reference to the CMOS. That seemed to be the major troubleshooting step listed on their site for this problem.
