I was digging around some old papers, and found the receipts for my comp, thought i'd put things in perspective:
athlon xp 2000
512 ram
40 gig maxtor
geforce 4 ti4200 128mb
benq cd drive
gigabyte mobo
sb live 5.1
typical case/mouse/psu
3 years ago this day, cost me just under a grand! what's better is that i have been fully able to play call of duty 2 on this computer with reasonable settings [ie: im not looking at squares instead of germans]. doom 3 also played fine with IMO perfecetly acceptable graphics. it might just be my opinion because I have not sat down and a played on a comp with any better specs than mine. my card isnt allowed to touch bf2 so no commentary there...
i guess an upgrade is in order soon? maybe am2 ill take a stab at.
