Think its safe

To see Harry Potter tonight? I figure its the weekend after opening weekend, the last day of the Thanksgiving holiday, should be fairly safe to see it around 1800 tonight, yes? I don't feel like fighting my way over hordes of people to see a movie.

I usually wait until a movie comes out on DVD. I never want to fight my way thru crowds of ppl, get overcharged and be surrounded by strangers for hours.... just to see a movie.

I got myself a nice 55 inch HDTV and nice home theater system and when the DVD comes out, I crack a beer, light a Marlboro and watch a movie with Orvall Redenbacker.

QFT

(Though I don't smoke in the house... Kids. And I still have a tube TV.)

Regardless, think there will be a line around the building, sold out shows, etc? I feel like getting out of the apartment for a while.

I went to see it last week. Hardly anyone at the 8:40 showing. 8:00PM is still too early... too many kids. 8:40 is perfect.

It wasn't overly crowded, very short lines. There were too many kids though, I had to tell the asshat behind me that if he kicked my chair one more time I was going to personally drag him out of the theater. Granted, I'm too cowardly to make good on the angry threat, but he bought it and stopped.

You don't live with your rents and you want to see a Harry Potter movie? :disgust:

Usually anything dealing with the supernatural will catch my interest. 😛

Besides, Goblet of Fire was geared for an older audience, despite the number of children there. Its a much darker movie than prior Potter movies. Especially the sequence in the Graveyard at the end of the movie, I think that probably scared a number of younger viewers in the audience. 😛

Sounds good...minus the smoking of course 😉 I think I might just go do that now.

the theater experience is lost in that. i like being around movie goers. just like you go to a restaurant and have them all eating with you.
