From the looks of it it's easy work, with flexible hours; pay's not the best, but hey.

"NEEDED: Responsible and detail oriented students with economics and computer science background interested in assisting sight-impaired students. Disabled Student Services (DSS) converts course
readings into an electronic format for sight-impaired students.
This involves scanning text into an electronic format, and manually editing the resulting text to fix mistakes/omissions made by the scanning software. In this last editing step, DSS needs part-time help from students (undergrad or grad) who have the requisite economics and computer science background.

DSS is currently editing an Econ 200 textbook. The work is detail oriented and accuracy is required. No special software is required to do editing---only a word processor and Acrobat Reader.

Workload and schedule are flexible; work when and where you want, though DSS would like a commitment of approximately 10 hours per week. This is a paid position at $9.00 per hour. "

Cheers!

but it seems like you can work from your dorm room. I would take it. not having to "go" to work is a really big advantage and is a real time saver.

That's what I'm leaning towards. I'm going to have a busy quarter, and I'm dropping research, but I really should have something to bring in some money.

~$90 a week, a good $300 or so a month, not bad.

Not particularly.

Yes, I'm a freak.

It's not any more mind-numbing than the research I'm doing now, but it might be a bit more interesting, if only a bit more in my field of study.
