Hi all,

I only benchmark to test stability. I have been overclocking a Clawhammer 3200. Finally had a real bad crash and couldnt reboot.

Had to do a Windows system restore. Got system back up and running. Running at stock.

Idle temps are 30-33.

Everytime I run 3dmark01 and get to the CPU test the computer crashes. Same in 3dmark03.

Did I damage my cpu playing with the overclock.

Vcore was never over 1.55.

Speeds were never obver 2.35.

Thanks, Leigh

so, you say it works fine in 2D (desktop) but no 3D?
have you plugged in the 12V PSU molex to the card??

run dxdiag.exe in system 32, then run tests
see what vers of dirX you have

try with one stick of ram
run memtest 86 from floppy a few times

What he said. I had this happen a few days ago. Couldn't keep Windows stable for over a few hours. Tried Ghosting back to an image and still the same. Ran the drive diagnostic software and it said the drive was about to die. Warranty is out so I figure I'll LL format it and see what happens. After the format I ghost back and BAM it crashes again. I then do a true wipe and fresh install after a reg format and it's been stable for over 2 days. SO moral of the story is... it may be corrupt files on the HD. 😉

PS: and yes, I'm OC'ing as well. P4 2.4C at 3.0GHz with a XP-90 and PC2100 RAM.
