Think I just had a conversation with a very elaborate bot.

It was asking for donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

I carried on a very weird, stiff conversation with what I thought was a man. Then he repeated himself, and it sounded EXACTLY the same. Thats when it occurred to me that maybe we've gone too far with computers.


Either that or it was a brainwashed human who was programmed to respond in a specific manner. If so I feel very sorry for him.

That would actually be cool. If they call again see if you can prove it by exploring the topic range. It wouldn't take much to show that the voice on the other end was not coming from an entity with normal human responses.
