the rattling noise that my PS fan gave off was driving me nuts, so i picked up a truepower on the way home from work. pulled out the old one, put the new one in its place, plugged everything back in, press power... not much happened. some of the case fans came on, my hard drives spun up, a light on my leadtek vid card came on. but thats it. turned it off, tried again, nothing. looked around for a loose connection, found a pin pulled out of a molex connector, tried again, nothing. plugged the old ps into the board, pushed power, nothing. i don't get it. its not like theres loose screws in here or anything.

Try testing the voltages on the new PSU. If they are really bad then maybe you could talk the company into replacing your board/cpu.

You can get an Antec PS testor for under $15. Either that or take it to a shop and test the PS. Other than that, I would, even though I KNEW that everything was correct, go back over EACH AND EVERY connector in the box; especially the ATX Power connection.

i'm gonna do that too and stick it in another computer i think. new the truepower has some features you don't get just doing that, and the "no waiting" was nice.
