Think I can mate some HP case parts with a different case?

I have a pavilion elite m9077c which has a really nice front panel with usb, fireware and RCA a/v inputs. As well as personal and pocket media drive bays (which I use).

I want to add more HDDs, upgrade the power supply and improce cooling, but the OEM case is just too small. Also, unfortunately, the OEM card reader seems to be flaking out.

So, you've likely seen these OEM HP cases at any or all of your local electronics B&M. Is it possible to relocate some of these pieces to a different case? I haven't been able to find much on the issue searching around.

If not, does anyone know of a front case panel that has RCA a/v inputs? (convenient for archiving old family analog tapes).

When it comes to case modding, where there's a will, there's a way. IOW, if you really want to put a part from Case A into Case B, you will figure it out. Mr. Dremel is your friend, as is Home Depot for various nuts, bolts and screws.

Most advanced case modders build entire cases from scratch. Your task shouldn't be too difficult. Good luck.

The Ultra m998 (and the other cases by Akasa made on the same chassis) have a place in the front panel that can take one or two PCI slot plates with whatever ports you want to put on them. There is already one in there with the normal array of front ports.
