auto, Anand did a review on PSU's a while back, you may want to read it. A really good 245 watt psu is good enough, and some cheap 400watt'ers can't cut it. I'm being lazy by not searching for the link, but I'm trying to balance my Quicken at the same time!

The wattage rating is less important then the Amps on each rail. A high quality 300W that puts out in the 30A range on the 5v and 3.3v (assuming it's 2.03) will work with power to spare.

<< I will never build a P4 system with less than 400 enermax. >>

Enermax does not make a 400, and their 350watt works perfectly in any configuration. Their 450 is overkill for a desktop system. Hell, their older 330 watt will run a dual Tbird without even breathing hard.

Sorry Russ.I believe you're right. The 450 is what i was refering to.I had Anands review and recomendation on my mind. This is the one I am using, but again this is power for my Raid 0 array on a PIII933 with 4 Maxtor 7200 20.4 gig HDDs and DVD,CD RW with a Zip drive installed too. Runs cool and clean.
