Think 1500-2000 USD is enough for a 4400 x2 system?

Right now I am looking to upgrade my 4 year old 1.7 P4 in time for gradschool in the fall. I would like to build/buy (monarch maybe?) a x2 4400, and I have up to 2000 USD to spend on it. I need everything, I don't plan on using any of the parts from my 1.7 P4.

I do plan on using this system for gaming, and as such plan to spend 250-375ish on a video card. I would also like at least a gig of decent ram, maybe 2. I will be using XP pro, but that is not coming out of the 2000 I have to build the computer.

Think it can be done? Any tips or ideas on parts would be nice. For example, I know I can get a nice mother board for about 175ish... is that over kill?

Thanks a lot. --James

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ ($600)
Mobo: DFI Ultra-D nForce4 Ultra ($130)
RAM: 1GB OCZ VX value ($100)
Video Card: Radeon X800XL ($300)
Case: Your preference with decent cooling (front and rear 120mm fans) ($50-150)
PSU: Seasonic 500W ($130)
HDD: Depends how much you need. I recommend Seagate, though ($50-200)
DVD: NEC 3520A or equivalent ($60)

Total: $1420-1670 (depending on case and HD space)

Very reasonable with some good parts. Most of that stuff can be changed and altered. That setup would be great for some OCing and gaming. If you don't plan on OCing, get a cheaper board and get some corsair value RAM, that can save you another $50-100.
