That is the exact monitor that I am about to sell. I was thinking that $150 would be a good proce for it. It is also nice because it is a 19" with a 17" footprint so it will save you space.

i wouldn't buy it....

the warranty is sketchy and is that monitor a flat square tube. with a brand new Samsung 955DF going for right about $200 hot dealled, and other brand new top notch monitors flow down the hot deal river ever week. do you really wanna buy a used 19" for $150?

I would look for a few prices on 19" monitors and then if you can't get a new one for what you're willing to spend, buy that one.

I paid about that much for my Envision 19" monitor last christmas, so you might want to look around. I'm REALLY impressed with this monitor, it's tiny (probably 17" footprint) and the quality is good (only does 85htz though)

CRTs can have dead pixels?

I would say go for it. I bought a KDS VS-195e 19" for $180 refurb and thought it was the hot deal of my life.

Okay here is the deal, bought the monitor for $130.00 yesterday. The chick was selling it on ebay for like 170. I talked to her and basicly gave her the bullshit deal that when you sell something like electronics or computers they sell 50% off. Anyway it didnt work. Chick had the monitor in a box for 1 whole year. It even smelled new. The screen is without one dead pixel. I took it home and ran a stupid display utility, cant remeber what its called but it worked like a charm. The lady lives in the same area so I did'nt pay shipping. I played UT and SOF2 last night it was awesome. I think I got a great deal, and I love my new monitor *sniffle* I'm so happy :) especially since I used 17 and 15 inch monitors, I would always blow my cash on the video card or someother mod.

Anyway thanks alot guys and I dare anyone to say that I made a stupid deal.

Wow I never have that amount of cash. I would usually never go with second hand monitor deals. But had a gut feeling that the monitor was in such good shape that it would be worth it and I was right. I was really thinking of getting the Samsung 955 df. But the thing is so damn big on the sides that it feels like a 17 in again. If you look at the Viewsonic it has thinner sides make it look almost as big as the 21 inch.
