actually it was secured..in Windows 7 the unsecured networks have yellow shields next to the name

Sometimes I think the makers of the OS change things just for the sake of changing things, regardless of whether the change itself makes it more intuitive. The universal symbol for security is a lock, so why the fuck not put a lock by the network if it's secure?

Back when I stole internet I started to get kicked off repeatedly. It seems someone was on to me. Then I changed my computer's name to "Printer" and never got kicked off again.
