Things you love about Vista

I'm still using XP, and I want to upgrade to Vista soon. I've used it a couple times, and so far, I can't really see any real differences. Granted, I haven't really used it to its full, but still, it pretty much looks like a nice version of XP. From what I've read so far, it just uses more resources, and is no better, if not slighter worse in gaming. (correct me if I'm wrong)
I was just wondering what things you guys/gals find Vista a worthy upgrade (bedsides the fact that we'll all end up upgrading eventually)

And XP looks like a nice version of 2000, right? And 2000 is just a "different" looking version of 98.

It's what's under the hood that matters. Vista is drastically different from XP. It runs faster and is already more stable. Memory management is also much improved. What do I like about Vista? It's faster and just feels "better" than XP. And technically, it is superior to XP in virtually every aspect.

The Networking setup is really nice as well. TCP/P ver 6 has some issues but I am sure they will get fixed soon. The networking and sharing center is lightyears above XP, allowing you to easily save settings from one network to another wether you are on a private or public network. I like the sidebar too.

honestly? the thing I love most about Vista is the bundled chess game 😛

I don't regret updating my PC from XP-Pro to Vista, though. everything is a lot snappier, and with 64-bit, I can finally max out my motherboard.

I haven't really noticed significant differences in terms of gaming.

I went back to XP from Vista Ultimate. I didn't mind Vista at all, but all of the programs I run weren't meshing well. The one thing I really really miss about Vista Ultimate is Media Center. Damn it played DVDs beautifully.

I really need to make a list of all the little things i love about Vista, but let's just say that i basically prefer almost everything about Vista over XP.

Aside from a few minor annoyances, i find it far superior to XP.

So would you say that the Wow is Now?

I really can't say that I love anything from Vista, but I didn't love much from XP either. Most things that i love about OSes come more from the programs available on them, rather than the OS itself.

Let's see:

Super-duper snappy. I love Superfetch.
Aero is sexy and actually improves explorer performance.
Seems quite stable so far (though I've never had problems with Windows NT stability and that includes XP)
Improved Dual Monitor support
Improved Security
Improved Network stack
Games Pane
Improved Audio
Improved Kernel
Improved GUI
Variable I/O priorities
