do to circumstances beyond my control i have been a bit down the past two days... so i broke out my happy list: stupid things i do to cheer myself up. i thought i would share some of the many things and then maybe you can share some of yours...

taking my dog for a walk in the woods

I play Starcraft and send hundreds of mindless pixels to their bloody deaths. I call it the goo effect. I also play Counter-strike and knife chickens.

It may sound lame but if I can get a full nights rest and wake up refreshed that's usually all it takes.

Oh and buying something for 50% off retail kinda puts me into good spirits as well.

I've been so stressed out with school and work that I just need a vacation. I'm going to L.A. on Monday and then Mexico on Thursday.

It should be fun.

Driving by myself with the windows down on a hot day with music playing loud and no pressing concerns. That's what does it for me.

Read something I know I enjoy (L.M. Montomery, C.S. Lewis, Orson Scott Card, etc.)
Go for walks, preferably in less populated areas
Ice cream and a favorite movie and some friends
Sleep zzzzzz
Going to some Christian event with praise/worship music
Finding a good place to stare off into space for a nice long period of time
Reading a couple of chapters of the Bible - oddly enough, though I wouldn't really have expected it, this seems to have a really good impact on my attitude.

get in the car & just drive 200+ miles just to go somewhere new
