I'll be upgrading my VM server as the mobo died/acting weird and it needs an upgrade anyway but I want to be able to have more then 3.5GB of ram (normally the limit)
I'll be using this board/cpu:

And this ram:

Anything specific to know when surpassing that limit, or will it work as long as the cpu and os are 64bit? (I plan to find a 64-bit Linux OS, not sure which distro yet).
Also what about the software using the ram. Like if I put the 32bit version (not sure if they even have a 64bit one, don't think so) of vmware server will it still be able to use over 3.5?
I'm only going 4 gigs for now but do plan to upgrade in the future so want to be sure it will work ok.
