GF & I are going to SE Asia so the flight time > 18hours... she hates flying.. Any suggestions to pass the time?

(aside from reading, watching dvd's, & sleeping<since sneaking alcohol onboard is bad now>)

You should host a murder mystery party during the flight! Everyone reach under your seat where I have secretly placed your role in the murder mystery. I have provided characters with knives, guns and liquid explosives. Ok lets get started.

Do they offer alcoholic drinks on the flight. On my last flight on Southwest, they offered us a glass of wine or beer for $3. I just drank some cab, and read a couple magazines. Also, how about bringing a portable DVD player? Maybe there would be something you could buy that would allow you to plug in headphones.

Oh BTW, 18 hours non stop?

Get a couple of DS lites, for real. You can sell them when you're done, but I can guarantee that you won't want to. For games get:

Mario Kart (wifi multiplayer)
NintenDogs (Will totally sell the GF on the whole deal)
Animal Crossing (wifi multiplayer, like a cutsey Sims, the GF will love it)
Big Brain Academy (wifi again, prove who is smarter!)

You obviously have not been on many international carriers, have you? ;)

Whenever I fly Coach on an Asian carrier, there's at least 2 power plugs for every 3 seat section and 3 power plugs for every 4 seat section.

Also, if you can, request the exit row seat. Loads of free legspace and if they plane crashes, you're the first one out!

Cathay Pacific has power ports available at all of the seats, IIRC. You may need an empower adapter.

well last time i flew was 2k2 for international so yeh.. never really had the need to check for plugs. btw what kinda plugs do they have... i hope not cigarette lighter types.... would be a bitch to pack adapters...

yeah i usually like the emergency seats cause i really hate when ppl lean all the way back and then start making lots of movement (on certain airlines)

for those saying Mile High Club... have YOU ever had sex in an airplane bathroom??? i hate to tell you, but it is virtually impossible... even first class bathrooms are tiny.
no, we have never done it because it would look very suspecious if two seat together were unoccupied.
