Who said anything about it being boring?
We are going through every major Canadian city, and to most any interesting place in between as well. There will be a hell of a lot of downtime though, and we want to think of what we might fill that time with now as opposed to leaving having thought of nothing. ;)

If it weren't boring, the entertainment would be self-contained in the camping

:p We do enjoy camping and will enjoy it. We have never gone on such a long trip though, and want to know what other people would bring for entertainment in the same situation.

So do it for a week...or two weeks...or however long it takes until you no longer enjoy what you're doing.

So far all I've been able to think of is:
reading
bocce ball
cards
filming really stupid and annoying things that will only be funny/interesting to me & her

Help us think of more things to do!

EDIT: Keep in mind that there are only two of us going, and that we will not be bringing a computer or any electronic gaming devices.

hmmm...lets see. no electronic toys=boring
filming stupid and annoying things=boring
reading=boring
Help us think of more things to do!=boring

I hate to say it, but you seem to be taking a BORING vacation

...You're right, why would I want to bother getting insight from other people who have done similar things in the past. Silly me.

Camping is a blast, I want to go now. :p

Seriously, bring lots of alcohol and whatever else you enjoy doing and just go buck wild out in the middle of nature!

You realize what we are doing right? We're going from coast to coast across our beautiful country, and getting a chance to see every major city and every major attraction (nature or otherwise) on the way. This is something that has to take a long time, and most likely I wont have that kind of time to take until I have retired, and at that point it would be quite a different trip then the one I'm taking now at 22.

So enjoy the cities then...why play bocce ball in the woods when you can be interacting with the local people?

You're not making any sense. We will enjoy the cities, and we will enjoy the nature as well. What are you trying to say?

I'd hit every used CD store along the way, and keep a running list of what I'm looking for. a continual supply of new music would certainly keep me entertained.

don't know if "cd player" violates your electronic toy rule though

:) Good call on the used CD stores.

Edit:
We are bringing an mp3 player for the drives (~6-8 hours each day), and a laptop for GPS navigation, but I'm not about to be taking a trip across the country to play UT all day. ;)

About fishing, do any Canadians know if it is possible to buy a fishing license that is valid for all of the Provinces?

Take the book "Applied Combinatorics" by Fred S. Roberts and try to complete all the problems.
