Things to Do in Seattle

I'm going to be in Seattle for the holiday weekend with some friends and want to know what things we should definitely see/do there. I've been before but others in our party have not.

Any suggestions?

Make an effort to stay dry! Try to find someone in Seattle that wasn't originally from California! Explain to the natives that Birkenstocks are actually passe. Convince those that play Ultimate Frisbee that it is a girlyman sport!

I thought I was the only one who thought that.

What about Vancouver? I know it's not that far from Seattle, what about border wait times? Things to do/see there for a day trip?

Border time to Vancouver from the US, ~5 minutes (for me, anyway). From Vancouver to the US, expect at least a 30 minute wait.

do you need to bring your passport when you cross the border or will your state drivers license be ok?

go on the Underground Tour
I've had friends that say the Underground Tour is their favorite thing to do when visiting Seattle.

I know a couple of the tour guides.

Also, Seattle Attractions

EMP didn't really do much for me, so I wouldn't recommend it, but others like it.

If you want an easy day trip to Canada, take the Victoria Clipper to Victoria, BC. Fairly cheap, and gets you up and back in a hurry.

Was that a pot shot at me, old man? You'd get your ass handed to you out on the Ultimate field. I'd run circles around you, then knock you out with a well-timed forehand toss. 🙂
