pick up some of those tourist guides... if you're staying long enough explore france! my dream would be to spend a month in europe, spend a week in london, visit the castles, buckingham palace, go on the harry potter tour, then go to france, visit, hop on a train to italy, to rome, florence, venice, then to switzerland so my bf can get his chocolate and look at their watches and then i guess back to wherever i was flying out of.

and i still wouldn't have seen it all. 🙁

My wife and I just got back from a Europe trip to: London, Paris, Brugges, Amsterdam, Rothenburg, Munich, and Prague..

Paris was by far our favorite.. As long as you try to speak french to them, they are really cool people.. I was in AWE of the Eiffel tower. You think it is just going to be a stupid tourist attraction, but it was inspiring. We climbed the stairs all the way to the second floor, and then they made us take an elevator to the top.

Paris is awesome.. It is kinda cool feeling like you could take over a country with nothing but a stick that says "Surrender or I will hit you" j/k

Personally I just like to go to the different cafées, get a feel of the city. Go to the latin quarters, just so much "soul" in this city.

#1 thing to do in Paris: LEAVE!!!

If you're going to sightsee, don't get hung up on the real touristy places like the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower. The locals know the best places. Ask the German army, they spent more time in Paris than most Frenchmen.
