Things to do in Oregon

I am going to Crater Lake, OR in couple of weeks, besides the national park what are some fun things to see/do in that area (or in a reasonable distance from there). We are staying in Prospect, OR. We are interested in seeing scenic places, hiking , outdoor activities in general.

Hmm, I usually just take a map and drive. One thing down in Southern Oregon is the Oregon Caves Nat'l Monument, near Cave Junction. http://www.nps.gov/orca/

There is also the Christmas Valley Back Country Byway (which I'm not sure I've ever gone to, but is in a book I bought recently). http://www.christmasvalley.org/

The Rogue River is also a beautiful place.
