I am leaving for Dallas on Sunday for a nice vacation. Going to be spending time with my Cousin who lives down there.

I am already going to see a Dallas Stars game on Tuesday and going to see TCU play Army in their homecoming on Saturday that week. That still gives me a lot of time to do some interesting things.

My cousin has a list of great restaurants to go eat at like Jose T. Garcias and The Blue Goose. There has to be some other great places to go though. Any good restaurants to go eat at?

Any ideas? What about places to go for fun?

Stand on a street corner and in a loud voice explain to everyone that passes how great Oklahoma is compared to Texas. You'll meet a lot of new friends.

The Stars game is all you *really* need to do.

The state fair is in town.
The 6th floor museum actually isn't bad.
If your hometown doesn't have a Fry's, go shopping here! :)

Also consider there are a ton of cultural things to do in Ft. Worth. Stock Yards, Kimball museum, Bass performance hall.

Oh, and it's Joe T. Garcia's. ;)

Hahahah!

I already have my PSP with some movies on a couple 1GB memory sticks. My Ipod and noise canceling headphones will be my friends as well. :)

Yeah, there are tons of museums, galleries, parks, etc to visit. You also managed to choose a weekend when we are having our first cold front of the season, so don't expect 90°+ heat in the next few days.

I don't think my Cousin and I will enjoy that. We are looking for some fun things to do. Dave and Busters is something fun to do for a while. We would like to do something else, but just don't know what.

How long are you going to be staying? Go visit downtown Ft. Worth at night if you can (especially on the weekends). Lots of bars and restaurants as well as people to see.

Garcia's and Esperanza's are great Mexican food restaurants (owned by the same family). Try Esperanza's Tres Leche cake if you can.

Texas de Brazil is pretty good if you're into meat (and willing to spend the money)...just bring a big appetite.

Melting Pot is another good restaurant from what I hear.

You can hang out at Deep Ellum if you're in Dallas.

Heh I remember when there used to be an arcade here that allowed for 6 hours of unlimited play for $5. That was back in the early-mid 90s. Too bad the place shut down.
