Impossible since Chicago is very anti-gun and even has an assault weapons ban. So there should be zero shootings there.

Low standards are involved when Chicago is considered a nice place.

What bug crawled up your ass? Wandering around the shitty parts or something? Have you ever been to Chicago?

Laws only stop legal people from owning guns.

I heard the South Side is a friendly place for a stroll late at night.
"Don't go past 32nd Street or you'll get shot. So just make sure you don't go past 32nd Street and you'll be ok. Talk to you later. Bye."

"...Wait, did you mean don't go north of 32nd, or did you mean don't go south of 32nd? Hello? ...I guess I'll just stay on 32nd."

It's not a troll. I'll say it plain as day for the benefit of everyone considering a visit to Chicago: Chicago sucks.

So based on how Chicago is laid out, you'd have to be an idiot to not be able to figure out what "don't go past 32nd street" means. But I can see why that original statement might be a problem for you.

Did Chicago touch you in your naughty bits or something?

Chicago is awesome and I thin you suck! :colbert:

You need to go quite a bit more south of 32nd for any real concern. Try 77th and up.

Wait, Zim... are you a pasty white dork that's never left his mother's basement and thinks carnivals are a little too dangerous?

'cause you may not be from the same world as OGOC.

(who likely is neither original nor from so-cal)

GF & I are going to Chicago for 4 days and wanted some recommendations on things to do. We have been there a few years ago and did the sears tower/michigan mile/touristy things downtown. Are there nature things to do? Like hiking trails?

I am here. Been a while since met an ATer.

Morton Arboretum

Magnificent 1,700-acre arboretum and botanical garden highlighting trees and other plants from around the world in gardens and natural settings, hundreds of acres of natural areas, 14 miles of hiking trails, 9 miles of paved roads for automobile tours, and an open air tram. Seasonal events, weekend programs, performing arts, a coffee shop, and a store

I can see why a random joke about when people say "don't go past x street" would be a problem for you.
