Things to do in Chicago?

I'll be in Chicago for a conference this weekend and wanted to know if I could get some good recommendations for where to go at night. I'll be around the Northwestern University campus.

navy pier? There is the mall in aurora, plenty of malls I'm sure. are you staying in dekalb?

Nowhere near Northwestern so ignore that guy. What are you looking to do? If you just want to drink, try turning on the bars overlay on Google Earth. There will be at least 50 bars within walking distance. Over by the lake you can walk in to almost any one of them and have a good time. Of course, you will be up in Evanston.

He's referring to the Downtown campus I believe. In any case, get some real Chicago style pizza if you've never had any.
