things premium denims have over walmart denims

1. selvedge denim
2. hidden rivets
3. copper rivets
4. chainstitched hems
5. indigo dyes
6. tighter weave
7. better fit
8. better finish
9. made in usa, italy, or japan (rather than your run of the mill sweatshops)
10. better warranty

My solution to bothersome things is to simply sidestep them and move on. Believe it or not there's plenty of space out there and decent variety. (although music of late is pushing the limits!)
