Glad you were able to extract your tongue from Hillary's colon long enough to contribute. :)
You might have a point were I not a Sanders supporter (something I mentioned several times). Given that, you just look like a vulgar fool.

Pretty funny. I made it 8 pages.

So . . . is there anyone running to whom all that doesn't apply? We as a country don't reward honest politicians, at least on the national level.

Ahhh Bernie Sanders?

If you trust anything that comes out of any politician's mouth you are crazy. They are all liars. Every, single, one of them. It's not their fault really. Voters reward the candidate who lies the most - i.e., the person who tells them what they want to hear vs. what they need to hear.

It would be nice if once, just once, in my lifetime there was a presidential candidate on the ballot who is trustworthy, electable, and an actual leader, and not just a promise monkey with a margin of credibility that is as thin as the sheen of sweat on a politician's brow when he/she is forced to tell the truth.

And yes, I am bitter as hell. We have 10+ candidates running for the most important office in the world, and not a single one of them is fit for the position. Several of them are PROVEN liars (Trump, Clinton), one is a PROVEN socialist (Sanders), fully half of them are fear mongers (take your pick from the republican candidates), the other half seem intent on bankrupting the country while punishing those who are reasonably successful (take your pick from the democratic candidates). I could go on and on. It is disheartening to say the least.

I trust an ounce of nitroglycerin in a vibrating paint mixer more than I trust Hillary. That being said, I trust a komodo dragon that's sleeping with me in my bed more than I'd trust a Repub Congress critter.

I blame having to suffer emotionally and financially through the Bush/Cheney administration for that.

You do realize that Bernie votes the same way he campaigns, right?

Yeah, the only list that matters: Things I trust less than Hillary.

One entry: Every Republican.

Exactly. I don't plan to vote for Hillary in the primary, but if it comes down to her or any Republican, she has my vote. And I mean ANY Republican. Any politician, any voter, anyone who just thinks their ideas are good. I cannot trust anyone who leans Republican nowadays, the party has gone to ludicrous speed.

one is a PROVEN socialist (Sanders)

You say that like it is a bad thing. You can't bail out private companies with public money to the tune of trillions of dollars, or declare companies too large to fail, and say you are capitalist. Capitalism relies on companies that screw up, take too big of risks and lose, lie, cheat, and steal to fail. We don't allow that anymore. We are not capitalists.
So, if we are not capitalists what might we be?
I'll take Sanders' version of Democratic Socialism over what we have now.

Bernie is not a socialist.

He claims to be a democratic socialist. But he is a capitalist. He does not want to take over the means of production. He does not want to take over all the private property. He simply wants to boost social programs, provide a better safety net. The capitalist countries he uses as 'examples' of what he calls Socialist Democracy are Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. They are all self confessed capitalist nations. They might give handouts to children, the week, and the poor, but, you still make your own way in life.

Bernie is not a socialist.

He claims to be a democratic socialist.

Does not compute.

It is pretty hard to argue that increasing social programs through wealth redistribution is not socialist. Particularly when the proponent considers himself to be a socialist.

Also - as someone who does pretty well for himself, it is pretty hard for me to swallow how Bernie wants to pay for all those increased social programs. Namely by taxing the shit out of everyone who has worked hard, made good decisions, and has made something of themselves. I already take home only 53% of my paycheck. 53%. That means I pay 47% of my income (which I worked extremely hard to attain) in some form of tax. I pay my fair share and anyone who says otherwise can screw off.

As to your comparison to Sweden, Denmark, etc. If Americans want to live in those countries they can. Last I checked they are not a utopia that is to be emulated by they largest and most powerful nation in the world. I am an American. I want to live in America. Not the handout ridden pussified version of America that we have become over the last 30 years. The strong and self aware America that we were for the preceding 100 years.

FWIW I am an independent. I don't identify with either party because neither party represents my views. I'm about as liberal as they come with regard to many social issues, and about as conservative as they come when it comes to economic issues. I believe the government should play a minimalist role in our lives, except insofar as national security and economic opportunity issues are concerned.

Hilary right now in New Hampshire just said "No executive is too big to jail".

She might be done in by her own statements if the FBI ever follows through with its investigations.

Seriously - how can anyone vote for Hillary when she did something as STUPID as transmit
e-mail using an unsecured home server while she was Secretary of State? Is that not the very definition of bad judgment? Is that who you want making your national security decisions? Seriously?

FWIW - I am all for having meaningful consequences for wall street execs.

haha priceless

Ahhh Bernie Sanders?
I put him in the same boat as Biden - not my politics, but very honest for a national politician. Course, that isn't a high bar, it's a groove in a parking garage subbasement. I also haven't forgotten that he referred to opponents of illegal immigration as being against someone "because they were born in another country." He has the luxury in living in a state congenial to socialists, but he's still a politician.
