Things I should buy to use in college?

I'll be headed off to school in the fall and am trying to come up with a list of devices that will help assist me in enjoying my time at college, stay organized, saving time, etc...
What do you suggest?
TV tuner card?
Termpurpedic topper for an uncomfortable bed?
Keychain flash memory?
etc....

edit: I live away from home currently, I'm looking for college specific things that can help me navigate daily living and class.
Have:
Dell Insp. 6000 and carrying case
Cellphone
Good Attitude
Underwear
A lifetime supply of Degree UltraClear deodorant samples

What should you buy? Hmm. Don't know if you can buy these. Let's say "Hope Fate Buys For You:"

The common sense to actually take your classes, learn something, pass everything.
The common sense to not get shiitfaced every night.
The morals to not rape the chick passed out in the other room after the other 435 guys raped her b/c someone spiked her drink AND took vids of it all.
The good luck to not get an STD from that chick from the other night that was in your room...or was it the stairwell?
The common sense to stay the hell away from drugs. Not counting alcohol and aspirin, of course.
The hopes that four years passes quickly.
The smarts to know that college is just high school with better looking women and that 99% of those folks you'll never see again. Just like HS.

Get in, have a little fun, get out. Without a police record or failing grades, and you will have accomplished your goal. Good luck, Jim.

The most 'powerful' speakers you can purchase and/or build. They don't have to be high quality; hell, they don't have to be any quality, just put out enough watts to shake the entire floor. Your dorm-mates will really appreciate your taste in popular and/or eclectic music, even if they don't come out and tell you so. Most of them will even find your tunes soothing and help them sleep after a stressful day, so don't hesitate to blast your crap in the wee hours of the morning.

Nope. Just seen 99% of it, done a lot of it, and know better after I wasted so many years and so much precious time. I do hate cats though. Cats are evil. Like children.

2 towels for showering
Different clothes if you are going somewhere with a different climate
Water bottle
A pillow & case(you might not get one with the room and if you do it probably sucks)
Duct tape
A good color printer (not a crummy free dell one)
paper for printer
A fan
A comfy desk chair

Just from looking around my room at stuff I would hate not having

Actually this is most of what I was thinking, a water bottle is nice I have a nalgene.

A nice spacious desk to spread porjects out on.
Jumpdrive
Flannel sheets OR other warm sheets for winter
notebook, this can be good and bad :p
a good comfy backpack, you don't want to pack something that kills your back and shoulders
some people will recommend a tape recorder I use mine time to time
MP3 player with good headphones
Bike for when you can't afford the gas plus it saves you a lot
tacboard, something to put all of those reminders and pics of home on
nice set of formal clothes
desk lamp
cell phone
laundry bag
flip flops as mentioned before, along with a toilitry(sp?) bag to keep everything in
Nail clippers

I'll try to add more as I think of it, these are just the things I find useful or wish I had :)

the only thing you need to bring with you is some tight game to spit at the hundreds of horny coeds and condoms..........everything else will work itself out naturally.
