Why, after you shake some cream around for a few minutes, and it turns into butter, is it all of teh sudden ok to leave it out on the counter for days on end? Do that with cream and it would be scary!

What doesn't make sense to you?

Just don't shake OJ and drink it right afterwards. It'll give you diarrhea.

none of the inside doors in my house have locks (yes the doors that lead outside do). there goes your theory :laugh:
why do people eat cream cheese? it's nothing more than rotten milk after all.

I really dont understand the resevoir tip. I mean..am I only supposed to fill that much of it? Also, what can't it be ribbed for my pleasure?

I have left butter out in a butter dish with cover for the past 12 years without problems (not 12 year old butter, but the habit is 12 years old). Its makes the butter real easy to spread. I've never been told that it was a bad thing to do... I just learned it from my parents, and its a habit now.
