So, the plus sized models are tired of being shamed, so they shame the thinner models.

Brilliant.

I wonder what most people on ATOT look like? For everybody saying that these women look like fat pigs and beach whales why don't you post pictures of yourselves on the beach and in a speedo. Maybe we can get a group shot?

:)

Your post doesn't make them any smaller.

Let's see if social media goes nuts like they did on the "What's Your Excuse" mom.

This country has a serious contradictory message when it comes to weight. On one hand you have constant messages about obesity, food portion size, the health risks/issues with being overweight, heavy government involvement with nutrition and the medical/drug community coming up with medical solutions to slim people down. Then on the other hand you have constant touting of "love who you are and what you look like", plus-sized modeling, and the media that loves to print the sob story of the victims, ie overweight folks. It amazes me the mixed signals from this debate.

Like you never saw a McDonalds ad on TV followed by one from Jenny Craig.

What amazes me is that we have a society that is increasingly obsessed with an idealized body type that is borderline underweight, and yet the percentage of us who are overweight and obese continues to increase every year.

The 2 white girls on the left are still hot. The 2 brown girls on the right are disgusting.

This. For the most part. The one in the green is especially attractive. One on the very left is perhaps doable. The black girl might be but that fro is nasty. The one on the far right is just disgusting though.

Um of course I have. That's my point. The mixed signal.

That's not a mixed signal, that's advertising. Both companies are trying to make a profit in their respective industries. One just happens to make money encouraging health and the other encourages gluttony.

The real mixed signals come from politics and societal pressure.

Shaming is wrong. Teasing is a crime. Fat is beautiful. Don't change who you are grrrrl. You are entitled to an extra airplane seats if you're morbidly obese. But bleeding hearts can talk bemoan the childhood obesity epidemic and how awful it is. Awful? Obesity sounds pretty kick ass. Eat whatever you want, and Obamacare will patch you up and give you a free scooter when you can't walk anymore.

Some of those plus size models are kinda hot.

That said, I like a little meat on them bones, and clevage that isn't coming from a padded push up bra.

WTF?

This is BS! How is the picture of these high class females even close to a re-creation of the Sports Illustrated image? I mean really?

It is obviously a re-creation of this magazine cover:

Society could promote fatties (yes, including "plus sized models") for the next 50 years and men would still flock to normal weight cuties over them. Our biology > social programming. A hot chick will always be a hot chick and hold high value with men, whereas jealous fatties are trying to get men to "add value" to them but good luck with that. Maybe if our testosterone keeps going down enough the fatties will become the men in the relationship, but doubtful.

Except that she's 6'3" 215 lbs.

Oh nooooooes. A girl I can kiss without bending over, how horrible.

I'd hit that like Mjolnir.

The girls flanking her are at least decent as well. The one on the far right... not so much.

The woman on the far right is not curvy, she's obese. Period. She needs to get on a treadmill, an elliptical, or in a pool after consulting a nutritionist.
