I'm trying to find a certain material at Home Depot. I've always called it steel tape. It comes in little round spools like tape would. Its metal about the width of tape with holes about every inch or so.

What is it called and it what section of the store would it be in?

never heard of it, but i've always been surprised at the knowledge of the people there (not being a smartass, either). they always know what aisle something is on.

I'm not sure what you're doing, but something similar (but thicker) is in the garage door section... Great for projects. Lowe's also has a really section of random metal strips and rods..

you can also find it at pep boys/etc for strapping mufflers on though it's probably cheaper by the foot at home depot

I use it to secure stuff. Right now I'm using it to mount a vacuum cleaner motor to some wood.
