Thin Laptop Carry bag

I'm looking for a small/light/thin carry bag for my 12" X61s. I need it just big enough to house the laptop and maybe a side pocket for the power supply. Any suggestions? Once again, i'm primarily looking for a thin/small and light bag (something with a strap so I can hang it on my shoulder) that still offers some protection for my notebook and carrying room for the PS.

I just bought a "neoprene sleeve" for my 15" lappy @ Target for, like, 12 bones. Fits like OJ Simpson's glove! 🙂

Sounds like what you're describing & looking for...

Google "laptop sleeve" and you'll find zillions of them... "sleeve" being the optimum word!

Am in Vin's camp here - I have two lappies, and got neoprene sleeves in different colors for them. It is fabric coated neoprene - same material as diver's wet suits.

The sleeve can be used naked for local carries, but also slips nicely into a briefcase or roll-on for travel.

Nice to know that "Tarzhay" has them. 🙂

To give you a visual...

Here's a snappy of my Toshiba A215 sitting in a cheap, generic, made in Vietnam "Tarzhay" neoprene sleeve, resting in my hard-shell 5-inch Samsonite attache case.

This not only protects the lappy from bumps and scratches, but also from crushing...

Like corkyg said, you can get them in colors, with handles, shoulder straps... whatever!

Sleeves rule! 😉

I like the marware neoprene Sportfolio bag. It fit my Latitude X300 w/extended battery just right so I would think it would handle a Thinkpad x series just fine (be sure to check you measurements just in case). It's also much cheaper now than when I originally got mine.

Wow. Definitely looking at both options. Thanks for the suggestions. Exactly what I was looking for. And a very reasonable price as well.
